Man Guilty Of Stalking, Threatening Former Judge: Prosecutor

A 59-year-old Atlantic City man has been found guilty of stalking and threatening a former municipal court judge, authorities said.

Nathaniel Russell was convicted on Thursday, May 4 for making terroristic threats, retaliation for past official action and harassment, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Starting in August of 2021 and culminating in April of 2022, Russell left violent and threatening messages for former Egg Harbor Township Municipal Court Judge Marc Nehmad and stalked him for more than eight months, the prosecutor said.

Russell was arrested in 2021 after the initial threats were made and continued his tirade of calls, the prosecutor said.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 7.

The case was investigated by the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
